Hidden Tape Demos of the Human Race

I painted this next installment for #eggfest in homage to both the #BrucePennington classic illustration and the #bloodincantation album it was later used for.

The Big Egg himself is quite the BI fan, and I think they have some of the best art direction in the metal community, and so the idea came together.

Pennington has been one of my favourite illustrators for decades, having discovered his Dune book covers back in the 90s. I tried very hard to recreate his colour application and brush stroke style. Missed the mark by miles of course, but learned a lot nonetheless.
